Design Engineer - Building Services
Ref 406: Design Engineer (Graduate trainee or experienced) required by Offshore Contractor in East Yorkshire.

The role
The company designs, builds and installs complete systems which includes offshore modules such as accommodation for the offshore oil and gas industries as well as for onshore petro/chemical sites.
The Design Departments comprise fully experienced and qualified engineers, using computer systems for equipment design and selection. The company operates two Design Departments one for Mechanical Design and the other for Electrical Design. All drawings are produced using the latest CAD systems (AutoCAD).
You will be doing design work such as Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) and carrying out heating and cooling calculations on Carrier E20 Software.
The person
Applications are invited from experienced design engineers with experience of the offshore oil and gas industry and those without that experience as full training will be given.
The company would also consider a building services graduate as this is a permanent position and the company has the facilities to organise graduate training.
The package
The role of design engineer carries a salary of £25000 to £35000 depending on experience and around £20000 initially for a graduate appointment.
The working week is 37.5 hours with 5 weeks holiday.

The location
The role is based mainly at the company's East Yorkshire base in Hull although there will be occasional travel to other Oil & Gas centres around the UK.
